No one can stop Georgia`s European path, especially Moscow!

April 9, 1991 — The Supreme Council of Georgia declared the restoration of Georgia's state independence.

May 3, 1993 — The TRACECA program was launched in Brussels at the initiative of the European Union and with the participation of Georgia,

April 27, 1999 — Georgia became a member of the Council of Europe.

August 2, 1999, USA (President Clinton) - The House of Representatives adopted the "Silk Road Strategy Act".

The main goals of the act were:

● Strengthening the independence and sovereignty of Georgia and the countries of the region;

● Supporting democracy and human rights;

● Developing a free market economy;

● Promoting the resolution of regional conflicts;

● Developing East-West transport, energy and trade links;

● Strengthening economic and political relations between the US and the region.

May 7, 2009, Prague Summit - The Eastern Partnership was established to bring Georgia closer to the European Union.

June 27, 2014, Brussels - Georgia and the European Union signed an Association Agreement.

April 2015 - Georgia became a full member of the international combined freight rail-multimodal project "Viking", which has been connecting the Baltic and Black Sea regions since 2003.

August 27, 2015 - The NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center was opened in Krtsanisi, Tbilisi.

October 26, 2016 - Georgia joined the CAREC program, established at the initiative of the Asian Development Bank.

February 27, 2017 - The Council of the European Union approved a visa-free regime for Georgia in the Schengen area.

March 4, 2019 - The governments of Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan signed the Bucharest Declaration on the development of the Caspian Sea-Black Sea transport corridor.

June 18, 2020 - A video conference of Eastern Partnership leaders was held to discuss the future of the partnership after 2020, including trade, transport, digital connections and political cooperation.

July 13, 2020 - The Council of the European Union approved the opening of negotiations with Georgia on an updated version of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Agreement.

May 17, 2021, Kyiv — The Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing the “Associated Trio.” Its purpose was to coordinate the integration process into the European Union.

September 20, 2022 - A protocol to the Agreement on the Establishment of a GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova) Free Trade Area was signed.

December 14, 2023 — The European Union granted Georgia the status of candidate country.

April 4, 2025, Samarkand - The first EU-Central Asia Summit announced a €12 billion Global Gateway investment package for critical raw materials, specifically for the development of the middle corridor passing through Georgia.

No matter how hard anyone tries, no one can stop the restoration of Georgia's natural and historical state function as the European gateway to the Great Silk Road, least of all Moscow!
